The Ministry of Labour and Small and Micro Enterprise Development is seeking applications from suitable qualified individuals to fill the following position
NETWORK ANALYST (On Contract)
JOB SUMMARY
Provides maintenance support work for hardware, network system, assists in the administering of the network servers, provides Internet/Intranet technical support.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation of data communications and network hardware and software.
- Assist in the identification and resolution of network problems.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the network.
- Assist in the training of staff in the use of data terminal equipment and software.
- Test new data communication and network systems and report on the results.
- Assist in the development of user procedures for the network systems.
- Consult with the business systems analyst on new systems requirements.
- Supervise technical staff.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
- First Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a network environment.
- MCSE training
- Experience in the following technologies:-
- VOIP
- MS Exchange
- Checkpoint firewall
- Windows XP, 2003 and upwards
- Websense
- NAS/SAN
- Experience with Dragon IDS, Video Conferencing and Arc Servitt would be a definite asset.
- Any suitable combination of qualifications and experience.
