JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the General Manager in achieving the overall profitability and operational targets of the Asset Management Company. To perform relief duties during the absence of the General Manager.

The successful applicant will also be required to:-

  • Supervise the Marketing and Fund Administration Manager, the Business Development Officer and Administrative Assistant, by planning, organizing and controlling their activities and has responsibility for their on-the-job training and development and performance appraisals
  • Formulate and implement operational and marketing plans and strategies for the company and staff in order to meet the stated objectives of the company
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service is delivered to customers at all times
  • Ensure that a high level of morale exists among staff members in the Asset Management company
  • Ensure that activities undertaken conform to the Asset Management’s policies and guidelines and ensure the integrity of all accounts
  • Ensure that the Bank’s image is well received in the community and that the Asset Management company is perceived as a good corporate citizen
  • Responsible for the profitability of the company which includes the effective management of the portfolio and initiation, marketing and structuring of new product and services
  • Conduct staff meetings periodically to discuss matter of importance
  • complete special projects and other delegated activities that may be assigned by the General Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience/Knowledge and Abilities:-

  • Post Graduate qualification in relevant discipline from reputable University of other professional qualification from a recognized professional body e.g. CFA,CIMA,ACCA and a minimum of seven years progressive experience in banking operations, at least five of which must be at a Managerial level.
  • bachelor’s Degree in a business related discipline from a reputable University or other professional qualification from a recognized professional body and a minimum of ten years progressive experience in banking, at least seven of which must be at a Managerial level.
  • Knowledge of Commercial/Corporate Law
  • Knowledge of Credit and Risk Management
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills
  • Proven Managerial and Leadership skills
