COST CONTROLLER
BHP Billiton Trinidad & Tobago is now recruiting for the contract position of Cost Controller in the Surface Engineering Team for a period of one year.

The Cost Controller has the responsibility for the implementation of an appropriate cost management and reporting system base around work packages, GSAP, contractor cost management database, Earned Value methodology and established BHP Billiton systems. This will provide timely and accurate information to relevant stakeholders, on engineering project costs, for the duration of the various projects.
This role is also responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining the detailed integrated Cost Estimate, Tracking and Variance reporting for all phases of each project within the portfolio of projects in the Engineering Team
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the cost management reporting system that meets the needs of each project and program of activities on the portfolio
- Ensuring that the production of cost reports to all budget holders are in line with agreed schedules and ensure that they provide an accurate and reliable representation of the expenditure, budget commitments, accruals, payments and forecast values for each package and project within the portfolio
- Ensuring alignment for each project activity, between the schedule and cost reporting for the life cycle of the project and the portfolio of project
Potential candidates require a graduate qualification in engineering or management accounting with a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience; competency in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge and experience of Earned Valued Methodology. Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an asset.
