VACANCY NOTICE
THE CARIBBEAN FOOD AND NUTRITION INSTITUTE (CFNI) INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM SUITABLE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES IN NUTRITION FOR ITS OFFICE IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.
- OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
- To design, execute and evaluate programs related to healthy lifestyle including diet-related diseases and physical activity.
- To coordinate nutrition training projects and conduct education programs for professionals and the public.
- To write proposals and lead the program related to Nutrition and HIV/AIDS.
- To research the literature, write and edit various nutrition-related manuals and publications.
- KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A university degree in nutrition, at least to the Master’s level.
- Public health experience/qualification will be an asset.
- SKILLS:
- High degree of technical and strategic expertise.
- Highly developed analytical and interpersonal skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer applications
- The ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in preparation of technical reports on project performance.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The successful applicant will receive a competitive remuneration package and will be working in the capacity of a National Professional with the Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute in Trinidad and Tobago.
