Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited (MHTL) is a global player in the world methanol market with five methanol plants in Trinidad and Tobago which includes the largest methanol plant in the world (M5000) and has majority shareholding interest in the Oman Methanol Company, which has one methanol plant in Oman. MHTL produces, markets and ships over 4.1 million metric tonnes of methanol annually. In 2009 MHTL will start up its largest project to date, the US$1.6 billion Ammonia - Urea Ammonium Nitrate-Melamine (AUM) Complex, which will produce annually 1.5 million metric tonnes of Urea Ammonium Nitrate 32% Solution and 60,000 metric tonnes of melamine for both local and export markets. The company is currently seeking to recruit a professional to fill the role of:
Business Analyst
The Business Analyst will report to the Commercial Manager and will have the following key responsibilities: researching and evaluating market/business intelligence on the Company’s product markets and within the industry; preparing analytical reports, feasibility studies and presentations for Management and the Board of Directors; carrying-out financial/economic modeling; assisting in the management of Sales and Shipping Contracts; preparing budgets and long-term economic forecasts; evaluating new projects.
The ideal candidate will have a first Degree in either Business or Engineering and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a marketing or commercial environment. Candidates for the position will be computer literate and would posses excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in the energy sector would be considered an asset.
