PSYCHIATRIC SOCIAL WORKER I

Job summary
The incumbent will be responsible for professional casework services to mentally ill and emotionally disturbed patients. The work involves the study, evaluation and interpretation of the social, economic, emotional and environmental backgrounds of mentally ill patient to facilitate their adjustment and rehabilitation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATOINS AND TRAINING

  • B.Sc. Degree in Social Work from an accredited and recognized University
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar or related job function
  • Extensive experience in casework
  • Should possess well-developed theoretical and practical knowledge, principles and practices of Psychiatric Social Work.
  • Must be registered with the Council for the Professions related to Medical (1985).
