The organisation invites suitably qualified persons to submit applications for the following position:
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Report to the Manager, Human Resources the incumbent is generally responsible for the training and staff development function. He/She is responsible for the procurement, management and maintenance of a valid performance management system and the establishment of a training and development policy and procedure. The incumbent holds the responsibility for ensuring the organisation’s capability to achieve its strategic intent and leads the succession planning and career pathing activities.
Additionally, he/she facilitates the analysis and assessment of individual and organizational training and development needs; coordinates, designs, and delivers a variety of specified training and development programs for a range of individual and/or teams and develops Divisional/Departmental needs and classifies the organisational training budget by division. The incumbent is also responsible for coordinating and liaising with training providers, negotiating training/consultancy fees and ensuring that training is aligned with the company’s strategic intent and divisional plans.
Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications
- First Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology or Business Administration
Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
- Eight (8)- ten (10) years experience in Performance Assessment systems with at least five (5) years at a senior supervisory position in the HR discipline
