We are currently recruiting for a Chartered Secretary:
The key responsibilities for the Charter Secretary will include:-

• Liaison with the Trust’s Directors and their advisors
• Liaison with administration team relating to the investment trust savings scheme; print production and similar matters
• Preparing agenda and board packs for, and taking minutes of, Board Meetings, AGM’s and Audit Committee meetings.
• Preparing and filing statutory documents with Companies House and Listing Authority within specified periods.
• Co-ordination of the production of the Annual and Interim reports for circulation and publication
• Assisting with shareholder liaison and responding to shareholder enquiries
• Assisting with the drafting of shareholder and board resolutions
• Production of Stock Exchange regulatory announcements and Companies Act notifications in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring and reporting changes to in house holdings and production of reports of in house holding and fund summaries
• Maintenance of general insurance policies and claims, conduct annual reviews and obtain sign off and authorisation

The Person

• Proven company secretarial experience preferably within Investment Trusts
• Financial Services experience essential
• Working knowledge of share transfer and settlement procedures.
• Degree educated
• ICSA qualification
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
• Attention to detail
• Report Writing
• Interpersonal skills suited to working within a small team.
• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
