Pension specialist
I am interested in working for a large company or consultancy, specifically in the pension plan administration, compliance or management functions.
You will see from my resume that I have a lengthy, and varied, career in the pension field, with two periods spent working outside of Canada. It is in the area of international pensions and benefits that I wish to expand both my knowledge and experience. While my pension experience is based on the Canadian model (all 11 jurisdictions of it) with time spent as a Bermuda regulator and administrator, I have no concerns about my ability to readily adapt to a new regulatory climate elsewhere.
My pension career has evolved over 30 years, from a government junior accounts clerk to Director and then the private sector, from consultant to officer to my present position, Assistant Vice President, Pensions Administration. Along the way I have gained invaluable experience and insights as a compliance specialist, consultant, benefits team supervisor and call / contact centre manager. I have supplemented my professional benefits designation with numerous computer hardware, software and management / leadership courses over the years.
I am a focused, well-organized project-type manager or team leader, comfortable handling research and problem solving, report and letter writing, and office and plan administration.
