HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT OFFICER ON CONTRACT

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will develop and maintain policies and procedures related to Health, Safety and Environment. He/she will have responsibility for implementing and monitoring the OSH Management System, in keeping with the provisions of the OSH, EMA Act and related regulations. The individual will have the responsibility of identifying hazardous practices in the workplace, advising the Bureau on compliance strategies and reporting on OSH key Performance Indicators and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Training as evidenced by the possession of a First Degree in Health and Safety or Natural Sciences. Occupational Health and Safety Certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or a similar type certification and minimum three (3) years experience in a similar position or a relevant combination of academic and industry experience

The incumbent should possess excellent communication skills, and have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable legislation.

REMUNERATION
Salary will be paid in Range 56 ($8,302 - $9,665 - $10,328) plus a Travelling Allowance and a Gratuity of 20% will be paid at the end of the contract period.
