The Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited is required to contribute to the achievement of Vision 2020 and must ensure that its business objectives are in congruence with the goals of the National Sport Policy, which promotes a holistic, systematic and institutional framework for the development of sport in Trinidad and Tobago. We are seeking a suitably qualified individual to fill the following position:

POSITION: Executive Manager – Projects

OBJECTIVE:
Plans, directs and project leads all of SPORTT’s construction projects, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to pre- established specifications.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Participating in the strategic planning of their department
• Ensuring that projects are properly planned, organized, managed and reported from the pre-construction planning to the final close out of the project
• Managing staff members in multiple job-sites, ensuring proper oversight and development of multiple levels of staff
• Assisting in the recruitment and retention of personnel
• Assist in prime contract negotiations
• Effectively and positively representing SPORTT to clients, vendors and company employees
• Co-ordinating estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting, cost control and construction staff on projects
• Ensuring that contractual obligations are met on all sides

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Masters Degree In Civil Engineering/Construction
• Minimum of 15 years experience in the field
• Certificate in AutoCad
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Able to multi-task
• Well developed leadership skills
• Able to exercise creativity and latitude in the performance of the function
