CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the above position.

JOB SUMMARY:
The individuals will be responsible for efficiently performing all drawings and some civil requirements of the company.

DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES:

• Conduct site measurements and prepare drawings and architectural designs of buildings for review by Supervisor
• Prepare specifications and bills of quantities from drawings for review by Supervisor on small scale projects
• Prepare as-built drawings on completion of projects
• Prepare work orders and purchase requisitions
• Assist with the inspection of civil property for determining course of remedial action and make necessary recommendations to Supervisor
• Maintain drawings and filing rooms, and document the removal and replacement of any drawing and/or equipment from the office
• Ensure that all measuring devices are secured and maintained in good working order
• Ensure that sufficient materials and equipment are maintained for consistent drawing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 5 CXC O’levels including Maths and English
• A Technical’s Diploma in Draughting or its equivalent
• Certification in Project Management would be an asset
• Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of AutoCAD Software
• Must possess at least 2-3 year’s experience in a similar field.
